Congrats! My husband and I will be doing the same thing this weekend. The cake is already dethawing. However, I ordered a back up cake just in case this whole 'eating year old cake' thing doesn't work out.
It actually worked out fine - the outer frosting was a bit brittle, but the cake inside was delicious.
